LinkedIn is growing big each day with an estimated 70 million users at the moment. LinkedIn is growing on features too, they have added a plenty of sweet features (LinkedIn Analytical Data) of late. Here they are (some of them)
1. Follow Companies – Companies can now have centralized profile, have career tab, company blog, active twitter feed, Job openings etc. You can even follow company updates by “Following them” like Facebook or Twitter! An estimated 30 million users are following 1 million of companies registered in LinkedIn. Cool way for companies to talk to people. LinkedIn going more social!
2. Job Composition – See an approximate percentage of employees in different kinds of roles like engineering, sales etc, Education details and much more details are available. LinkedIn gives a cool Graphic details of such statistics. Of course, companies need to enable the data. e.g. Google provides that data – here.
3. Employee Movement Trend – Where did the current employees come from – their previous employment history, their new company details etc are available. It could be an approximate average value but gives an idea. E.g. Google profile shows that approximately 800 people joined from Microsoft!
